An inspiring program to take you safely and naturally through
each stage of pregnancy and birth and give your baby the best start
in life. Ideal either as quick reference or as a complete
guide.
CBI Review:
It is important that doulas and childbirth educators
are well informed on the impact that diet can have on the health and
wellbeing of the mother and baby during pregnancy, which is why we
chose to have a book on this topic in the reading list.
Unfortunately, this would not be our book of choice, but we were
unable to find one that was more appropriate. It has some
interesting information about the impact of diet. The downside of
the book is that it is, at times, a bland read, and not always
evidence based. If you are looking to understand nutrition and the
different vitamins and minerals better, it would be a good addition
to your library.

CBI Review:
Sheila consistently produces books that are easy to
read, focused on mother and baby centered care, and packed full of
information. This book is no exception! Although Sheila is based in
the UK her writing style appeals to women everywhere. The
photographs throughout her book show positive images of women in
labor, reinforcing the message that birth is normal.

much. I've enjoyed this so much that I'm thinking about
becoming a Childbirth Educator and if I do, I'm definitely
going through you." - Jami, Washington
